Schoolcraft Connection - Photo Editor

- Was part of an award winning newspaper, recognized by the Michigan Press Association for the General Excellence Award.

- Manage a group of Staff Photographers(Assign stories, Train how to properly use camera settings, Review images they took and help them to improve image quality.)

- Helped the Connection to recieve 4 photo awards in the Michigan Community College Press Awards for the first time in two years. 2 of these were for my work.

- Photographed at various school events, capturing editorial styled photos.

- Made exposure corrections and touch-up on various photos.

- Set up studio and took headshot portraits with props for each newspaper editor.

- Cover sports events and take action shots of players.

- Worked with the layout editor to put together different pages in Adobe Indesign.

- Photograph portraits in a studio with various lighting settings.

- Schedule appointments for future sessions, and call to remind about appointments already made.

- Creatively tailored each session to bring out the best features of each client.

- Help each client choose the best photos from their session, and arrange certain images into collages for a unique addition for their portrait package.

 

 

Schoolcraft Bookstore - Customer Service

- Worked at help desk to answer any questions the customers may have, and helped them to find the supplies needed for classes.

- Worked at cash register ringing up purchases, and helped look up financial aide information for student’s remaining balance.

- Worked to keep everyone positive and helpful.

- Took inventory and made sure used books were labeled properly.
